IgE is a class of immunoglobulin (Ig) with a molecular weight of 188kD. It has extremely low content in the serum and it is commonly used in the diagnosis of allergic reactions. It can also assist in the diagnosis of parasitic infections and multiple myeloma.
1. Allergic reactions: When an allergic reaction occurs, resulting in the rise of allergen lgE, the higher the allergen lgE, the more severe the reaction.
2. Parasitic infections: After the pet is infected by parasites, the allergen lgE may also be elevated. It is generally related to the mild allergy caused by the protein of the parasites. In addition, the report shows tumors may also caused the elevated total IgE.
This product utilizes fluorescence immunochromatography to quantitatively detect the total IgE content in dog Serum or plasma. The basic principle is as follows: T and C lines are respectively marked on the nitrocellulose membrane. The T line is coated with an antibody a that specifically recognizes cTIgE antigen. The binding pad is sprayed with another fluorescent nanomaterial-labeled antibody b that specifically recognizes the cTIgE. The cTIgE in the sample first combines with the nanomaterial-labeled antibody b to form a complex. Then, through chromatography, the complex moves upward to binds to T line antibody a, forming a sandwich structure. When the test strip is irradiated by excitation light, the nanomaterial emits a fluorescent signal, and the intensity of this signal is positively correlated with the concentration of cTIgE in the sample.
